Robust analysis to inform Your Decision with economic and financial principles.

Our team has deep expertise in the development of sophisticated economic and financial spreadsheet models for robust project and policy assessment.

We bring together the best techniques to ensure that the assumptions, analysis and outputs from our spreadsheet models are transparent, auditable and easily interpreted by our clients.

What we do

Unlocking Insights: Sophisticated Economic and Financial Modelling.

Often working with cost planners, designers and a broad array of subject matter experts, we collect, assemble  and validate input data for our models and reference all sources and assumptions clearly.

Our economic models apply Total Economic Value principles, to capture a full range of non-market externalities  and other direct impacts from a proposed investment. This approach supports our economic analysis of many sectors, including arts & culture, health, justice, environment, recreation and urban development.

Financial modelling also presents clear cashflows of costs and revenues, noting assumptions/operating context such as relevant cost of capital or expected returns, and producing various financial metrics to inform client decision making.

Our models often also benefit from our other service lines, including procurement method selection (including PPP / PFI), quantitative risk analysis (QRA) and strategic asset management – to provide a whole of project viewpoint.

Finally, we recognise that in almost all cases, our models are our clients’ intellectual property (IP). We are pleased to share our practical and useful spreadsheet models with our clients so that they can continue to test different scenarios without the need for trailing commissions. We don’t build “black boxes”
